Sialkot: (Friday, 25th Jun 2021) As part of the agriculture department’s annual competitions, additional deputy commissioner for revenue (ADC) Mir Muhammad Nawaz distributed cheques to the winners of wheat production projects in the district on Friday.
First, second, and third place winners received cheques worth Rs 300,000, Rs 200,000, and Rs 100,000, respectively.
Among the farmers who received cash awards in 2019-20 and 2020-21 were those who produced the highest quantity of wheat or canola per acre.
Zahid Iqbal, an agriculture officer, and Dr. Muhammad Irshad, deputy director of agriculture extension, also attended the event.
