Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitate poor farmers by providing them timely inputs in order to boost agriculture productivity.

He was talking to Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Finance Minister said the key focus is to revitalize the agriculture sector of Pakistan by (stop importing) stimulating rural productivity and farm income.

Both the ministers reviewed the supply and stocks of Urea fertilizers for the farmers.

On the occasion, the Secretary for Industries and Production gave a detailed presentation about the production of Urea fertilizer and also updated about the sufficient stock of fertilizer to cater to requirements in the upcoming sowing season.
