Green Pakistan Initiative Launched in Cholistan to Revolutionize Agriculture

The Green Pakistan Initiative has officially launched in Cholistan to transform agriculture and provide full support to farmers.

The launch event was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain and Musadik Malik.

Key features of the initiative include a Green Agri Mall and Service Company, a Smart Agri Farm, and an Agricultural Research and Facility Centre.

The Green Agri Mall and Service Company will supply farmers with high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides at discounted rates, delivered directly to them. It will also provide affordable rental options for agricultural machinery, including drones.

A 5,000-acre Smart Agri Farm has also been launched, using modern irrigation and farming techniques to boost crop yields while reducing costs.

The Agricultural Research and Facility Centre will offer soil testing, lab services, and act as a research and education hub for agriculture across Pakistan.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz called these projects the start of an agricultural revolution in Punjab, ensuring farmers’ success and Pakistan’s economic growth. She also distributed land allotment letters to the children of martyrs and injured veterans.
